About this event

Experience the architecture and history of Indianapolis’s Chatham Arch Historic District on a guided walking tour with Indiana Landmarks. As the city grew beyond its original Mile Square in the mid-nineteenth century, Chatham Arch developed into a thriving neighborhood of modest cottages, grander homes, apartments, duplexes, churches, and commercial buildings. Learn about the neighborhood’s diverse architectural styles and hear the story of its evolution into a walkable and vibrant place to live and work.

This outdoor walking tour departs from the plaza of the Indianapolis Firefighters Museum (748 Massachusetts Ave, Indianapolis). Groups will cover approximately 1.5 miles over the course of 90 minutes.

Refund requests must be received at least seven days in advance of the tour date.
